Posh pair go back to college
Regional College have extended their partnership with Posh.
The college already runs a successful Men's Football Development Centre, which is endorsed by The Football League and helps Peterborough United's youth team players with their academic studies as they work towards becoming professional players.

Now, thanks to help from Posh, the college have set up a Ladies Football Development Centre. Posh's football development officer Nikki Johnson and fellow ladies coach Kelly Pickstone from Peterborough United have joined the new centre to coach full-time the ladies squad at the college.
BFA to rescue women['s] football
BFA president, David Fani said on Tuesday that it is encouraging to see women putting effort in their game though they still face many difficulties. He was speaking at the awards ceremony for the Pro-Guard women football tournament. Fani said he was impressed by clubs who took part in the tournament. After watching the competition, he realised that if given support, women can do better. He said supporters that turned up in large numbers for the tournament showed that they believed in women['s] football.
Doncaster Belles must find funding or face extinction
As the Premiership basks in the increasing riches being poured into its clubs the women's football world is set for a major shock as Doncaster Belles, the oldest club in the Premier League and one of its most famous names, sits on the brink of bankruptcy and could be closed down within days.

The Belles, six-times FA Cup winners in their glory days of the 1980's and early 90's, have been struggling financially for some years and, having lost their major sponsor of the last four seasons, have run out of cash to the point where they are paying players' expenses out of loans from the club's treasurer, Kevin Harrison, and the manager John Buckley, the former Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United winger.
Ladies Football: Megan joins the footballing elite
WHAT do Ray Houghton and fifteen-year-old Megan Campbell from Drogheda have in common? Well, for starters, they have both represented their country on the football fields of Europe.

And last week Megan joined that small but illustrious set that have scored the goal that beat Italy in an international soccer match. It was her first goal for her country – a huge milestone in the life of any player – and it could be the first of many.

Megan, a transition year student at Our Lady’s College, Greenhills, struck from 25 yards to sink Italy – one of the powerhouses of women’s soccer – in a four nation friendly tournament in Poland. The tournament was in preparation for the upcoming Under-17 European Championship qualifiers taking place in Turkey at the end of October.
And, finally, some old (amusing to me) news: New US league targeting our players, Arsenal warn. Which, okay, true, but I don't have a big problem with this. It'll hopefully make the women's leagues in Europe work harder to keep their players.

And, last. I found this article and video in the Telegraph and I'm not sure if I'm amused, offended, or both: Why women's football beats the Premier League hands down. The jury is still out, but I'm kind of leaning toward a bit of both. But, still, it's things like that article in the Telegraph that don't really help women's football out.
