Arsenal Ladies won again. They beat Watford 6-1, with Smith and Little each scoring two goals. From the match report:
The Gunners are ahead of Chelsea and Everton on goal difference with all three clubs enjoying 100% records.I have to admit that I'm pretty proud of the ladies. Hopefully they'll keep winning and, even though I don't want Arsenal's dominance to be challenge, I kind of like that there are two other teams who are doing well, too. Maybe competition will increase the interest of other fans. Of course, Arsenal's website promoting the ladies more would help, too. But I'm not holding out much hope.

Young Rotherhite Footballer to be Tracked in Online Channel 4 Project
A BUDDING footballer from Rotherhithe, who has been picked to play for Arsenal Ladies, is starring in a new channel 4 online project that tracks fifteen young young people's progress throughout the year. This is actually kind of cool. You can read/watch what she has to say here.
Gilly Flaherty, sixteen, attends Hertfordshire-based Oaklands College, home of Arsenal Ladies’ Academy, which combines educational studies with football training. Gilly, who is a resident player for the team, is also studying for a BTEC in National Sport and Exercise Science Qualification at the college.
The Year Dot project will follow fifteen young people around as they go through a life-changing year. Viewers can watch her progress over the internet as she logs her experiences and thoughts on her web page.
In other Arsenal news, it looks like Wenger might make another buy before the transfer window is over. He's been given £30m, apparently to spend on just one player. I pick a midfielder, maybe a holding mid or a defensive one. Or, you know, Xabi Alonso. Personally, I want Arsenal to get both a midfielder and a defender, but apparently we only have the money for one more player (wtf, we can spend £15 on two if we find them?). Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and find out who (if anyone) we'll get.
