Yes, I cried. I'm that kind of girl fan. My Liverpool-loving friends (Amanda and Jen) just don't understand. I also hate their team more than I have words for, because I am also that kind of fan.

We came so close to winning, so damn close. And there comes a time when being unlucky just doesn't cut it as a reason. Our squad isn't deep enough and, well, Aaron Stollar explains this a whole lot better than I could. I think we were probably doomed to lose this game before we even played it. But I can say that we never quit, not even when we probably could have.

There's always next year. I could run through all the major competitions that teams I love have gotten so close to winning (in all sports I like), but I won't. It's just too damn depressing. Like this match.
